The Energy Regulatory Body has approved in today's meeting the proposal of the Universal Service Provider (FSHU), for the new electricity tariff.

It is learned that from October 1, consumers who consume more than 800 kWh will pay 42 ALL/kWh.

FSHU requested that this energy increase be applied only for the October-December period, while afterwards there will be a second decision depending on the meteorological situation.

"Based on the need for income due to the increase in the cost of energy, we estimate that the price should be 42 ALL per kW/h for household consumption over 800 kW/h per month, which recovers the cost of purchasing energy by providing the necessary liquidity for FSHU, for the guarantee of electricity supply.

It becomes necessary that the period of periodic reading of the meter must be carried out respecting the deadline of 30 calendar days for end customers, in order to protect each family customer from any possible wrong billing. For all of the above, we request the approval of the price of 42 lek per kW/h hour for the consumption over 800 kW/h", said the representative of FSHU/ BA - CNA.al earlier in the meeting.
