WIRETAPS Erion Veliaj staged the 2 million euro payment/ How he lied with Mero

SPAK's audio recordings of Mayor Erion Veliaj show how names of media owners have been put at his service, such as Mero Bazo or Carlo Bollino.

But the most spectacular in this file turns out to be Mero Baze, who in the wiretaps reveals how he is used by Veliaj to fabricate lies.

Mero Baze has become the whip that Veliaj uses to stage and perpetrate lies and deceptions.

While Veliaj's hearing at the Appeals Court of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo was taking place, a haze arose in their media, where news began to be published that the judge who would decide his fate had been paid 2 million euros, while criminal attacks continued against prosecutor Ols Dado, whom they referred to as Greek, writing about the Greek clan within SPAK, or attacks against judge Erion Bani of the same nature.

Some anonymous media outlets wrote that prosecutor Ols Dado and judge Erion Bani had connections to Greece and the Greek lobby of the US, saying that their family members had Greek passports or were traveling and staying in hotels that the prosecutor and judge allegedly own, etc.

What is the truth behind the smokestack built for 2 million euros?

There is only one truth that actually emerges from the wiretaps. The entire scenario was ordered from Durres prison.

In the intercepts obtained by CNA, Mero Baze appears on the scene and it turns out that the 2 million euro news is a fabrication by Veliaj.

Mayor Erion Veliaj, in a conversation dated March 7, 2025 with his brother Arbër Veliaj, asks Mero for advice to publish that 2 million euros have been demanded for his head and there are three witnesses to this.

"At 09:22, Erion Veliaj talks to Arbri and asks him to get advice from Mero, where he should tell him that the realtor came with three witnesses and said that this is what was paid for your head. He asks him to ask if it is a 'shot' that is worth it. He also asks him to talk to Mero and Fuga.

At 09:31, Erion Veliaj asks Ajola to talk to Meron and KM and get some advice, as Erion wants to know that in his last post on Monday, he should show without giving too many details how much was asked for his head. Then, Erion repeats this phrase again: 'So a sum was offered, someone came and said, "We'll pay you this, how much did the person who put him in pay, we'll solve it. Now the question is, should we take this out or not?"

"He tells him that he has witnesses for this, Dokushi, Isuf Berberi and Myslym Murrizi. He asks him to tell him to meet with Arbri because he (Erioni) needs advice," the intercepts obtained by CNA say.

So, this conversation shows that everything was staged by Veliaj in prison, who seeks advice from Mero on what to do, whether it is worth it as a "cartridge" or not.

Mero Baze, on the other hand, calls this a desperate move, advising that first there needs to be a denunciation, then the news, then the mayor's reaction.

"At 11:05, Erion Veliaj talks to Arbri, the latter tells him that he has spoken to 'comrade M' and has told him that it is a disappointing and not a good move, because first the denunciation must be made, then by the witnesses, then by you (Erioni)," Mero advises Baze.

So, it is clear where the schemes, scenarios and deceptions are prepared. The news was produced by the Durrës prison using Mero Bazen and other anonymous media as a whip to attack the prosecutor and the judges in charge of his trial./ CNA
