Fire near Gërmenjë Park/ Here's how the situation looks

The situation of the fire source near the Gërmenja Natural Park appears to be the same.

According to the track, today there is an extension of the area affected by the fire towards Greek territory, as a result of the effect of the wind.

The field team has been on the ground since the early hours of this morning, to continue control and monitoring throughout the day, working to prevent the spread of the fire perimeter within the protected area.

There are about 40 forces and 9 vehicles on the ground, specifically:

5 engineers, 4 chemists

The Kolonjë municipality service has also engaged three vehicles to open a forest road, so that firefighting vehicles can get as close as possible to the affected area, which is located about two hours away in terrain that is not easy to describe.

The area also poses a risk from ammunition, so field operations are highly controlled.
