Vodafone Albania has been recognized by Umlaut as the best network in Albania for 2026, both in mobile and fixed telephony. This is an annual certification for Vodafone Albania, based on independent testing and real user experience in the field.
During an interview on the Wake Up show, Ornela Kosho, Network Quality Team Leader at Vodafone Albania, and Gentian Bajraktari, Network Director at Vodafone Albania, explained that this rating is directly related to how the network functions in daily use.
According to them, what seems like a simple action to the user, like opening an application like Instagram, YouTube or WhatsApp, actually involves a series of processes that happen in milliseconds. The phone connects to the nearest antenna, the data passes through the central network and international servers, and returns to the user almost instantly. This is the experience that Umlaut also measures: the speed, stability and reliability of the connection in real life.
In this context, the rating as "the best network", according to Ornela Kos, is not a marketing award, but a result that is based on concrete indicators such as internet speed, call quality, stability in crowded areas and functioning in different environments. The tests are carried out in real conditions, in cities, streets and rural areas.
Representatives of the network team at Vodafone Albania also emphasized that building and maintaining a network of this level requires continuous investment in infrastructure and technology. The network is not a static system, but a structure that is constantly updated to respond to growing demand. As an example, the investment in 5G technology was also mentioned, as part of the preparation for the needs of the future.

Asked why in high-load situations, such as beaches, concerts or large events, network performance can be affected, Vodafone Albania experts explained that this is a known challenge that is managed by increasing capacity and optimizing traffic.
Gentian Bajraktari brought a concrete case as an example, emphasizing that, although managing a high number of users at the same time remains a challenge, effective solutions have been found. Last year, more than 20 thousand sports fans managed to use the internet in real time during a match at the “Air Albania” stadium, thanks to the additional infrastructure installed to cope with the high traffic flow at mass events.
In conclusion, it was emphasized that the importance of the network often goes unnoticed by users, but becomes evident in moments when it does not function properly. In this sense, network quality remains an essential element in digital everyday life.
This annual assessment by Umlaut confirms Vodafone Albania's consistency in providing a stable and quality experience to users across the country.
