The situation in the urban areas of Tirana continues to be worrying. Delays in schedules, overcrowding and lack of air conditioning. Conditions that are also worsened by the current temperatures.
In the footage provided by CNA, we can see the situation on one of the buses on the Kombinat-Kinostudio line. Overcrowded, beyond the capacity it can handle, and lacking air conditioning.
These conditions, the extreme heat, and overcrowding caused one of the passengers, an elderly woman, to faint in the city.
But this is not the first time that Tirana citizens have faced scandalous conditions on urban lines.
There are many cases where citizens' lives have been endangered by accidents involving buses in the capital. Or the reduction in the urban bus fleet and the condition of those that remain in circulation is more than scandalous./CNA
