CC decision on Balluk/Korreshi: To be treated fairly and impartially

Democratic MP Saimir Korreshi stopped today to wait for the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the case against Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

Invited to "Syri TV", Korreshi stated that the issue is important and sensitive for public opinion.

According to the MP, the process related to reaching a decision must be handled fairly and impartially.

"The Constitutional Court, due to the importance and sensitivity of this issue, must act urgently and not further delay a decision that is vital for the legal system and for citizens' trust in the institution of justice. Furthermore, we must bear in mind that the request for suspension and the ongoing investigations are a process independent of any political effort, and it is very important that this is handled fairly and impartially," said Korreshi./CNA
