The Special Court has upheld the security measure against FM, who was handcuffed as part of the SPAK mega-operation, where 10 arrest warrants were issued.
Of these arrest warrants, only FM ended up in handcuffs as the others turned out to be outside the country.
Yesterday, SPAK announced that it had cracked down on a criminal network that distributed cocaine in Latin America, Brazil and Europe.
The operation, which resulted in the arrest of two other people, resulted in the seizure of numerous movable and immovable assets worth hundreds of millions of euros.
