Veliaj starts the fight with Rama/ Opposes dismissal in the Constitutional Court

On Wednesday, September 17, at 5 pm, the socialist members of the Tirana Municipal Council have been called to gather at the headquarters of the Socialist Party, to hold a meeting of the group of socialist advisors.

It is expected that the topic of discussion at this meeting will be the Municipal Council's decision to dismiss the Mayor, Erion Veliaj.

Media sources indicate that Veliaj will appeal the decision.

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced during his speech at the Socialist Assembly that he would request the dismissal of the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who is in Durrës Prison.

Meanwhile, Veliaj has threatened from prison that he will appeal this decision to the Constitutional Court, also using the precedents of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and former mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri./ CNA
