Former head of the Cadastre, Artan Lame, passed away prematurely at the age of 58.
Lame died in a hospital in Germany after a heart operation.
Who was Artan Lame?
Artan Lame was known as an Albanian publicist, opinion leader and collector. A researcher of Albanian history, a civil society activist for the protection of Albanian cultural heritage. Also, a political activist of the Socialist Party and a state functionary.
Lame has held several important positions.
From 1999-2000 he was Director of Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture.
From 2000-2002 he held the position of Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Tirana.
From 2002-2005 he held the position of Deputy Minister of Territory and Tourism.
From 2013-2019 he held the position of General Director of ALUIZNI (Agency for Legalization, Urbanization and Integration of Informal Areas).
From 2019 onwards, he has held the position of General Director of ASHK (State Cadastre Agency)./ CNA
