Report from the floods in the village of Miliska in the municipality of Kruja

Activist Aulon Kalaja has shared footage of the massive flooding in the village of Miliskajë in the municipality of Kruja today. Kalaja says that this village continues to be flooded while residents are facing a serious situation and a total lack of response from state institutions.

He documented the alarming situation that the residents of the area are living in through a video report posted on social media. The footage shows the extent of the flood and the extensive damage caused. The water level has reached up to 1.5 meters, making them completely unusable.

A large number of homes have been flooded, while in some others the water has receded, leaving behind incalculable material damage for families. The situation is particularly dramatic in a cattle barn, where many heads have died as a result of the flood. The owners are facing huge economic losses, while the difficulties continue as the barn remains surrounded by water.

The residents of Miliskaja feel abandoned and demand immediate intervention from the institutions responsible for emergency management, damage assessment and provision of necessary assistance.
