The police cracked down on another case of goods smuggling.

3 citizens ended up in handcuffs, one of them a customs officer at the Kapshtica Customs Point. 

A quantity of suspected contraband goods (clothes, sneakers and various equipment) are seized.

Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes at the Korçë Local Police Directorate, following the work to crack down on criminal activity in the field of goods smuggling, have hit another case. As a result of which the citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto: 

- Th. Dh., 42 years old, resident of Korça.

- A. Zh., 51 years old, resident of Korça.

- R. Sh., 56 vjeç, banues në Bilisht, Devoll (me detyrë doganier në Pikën Doganore Kapshticë).

Në bazë të informacioneve të siguruara në rrugë policore, se në një kamion që kishte hyrë nga Greqia drejt Shqipërisë, nëpërmjet Pikës së Kalimit Kufitar Kapshticë, do të transportoheshin mallra të dyshuara kontrabandë, u organizuan shërbimet e Policisë, të cilat bënë ndalimin e mjetit, në afërsi të fshatit Dishnicë, Korçë. Gjatë kontrollit të ushtruar në automjetin kamion tip "Man", me drejtues shtetasin Th. Dh. dhe porositës të mallit shtetasin A. Zh., u gjetën mallra dhe disa pajisje të dyshuara kontrabandë. Në vijim të veprimeve gjatë kontrollit të ushtruar në banesën e shtetasit A. Zh., u gjetën një sasi tjetër me mallra të dyshuara kontrabandë (veshje dhe atlete) të cilat u sekuestruan në cilësinë e provës materiale.

Also, from the conducted investigations, it is suspected that the citizen R. Sh., with customs duty, has misused his duty, as he allegedly allowed the passage of the truck with suspected contraband goods.

The materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Korçë, for the criminal offenses "Smuggling with other goods"; "Storage or storage of contraband goods" and "Abuse of duty"./CNA.al
