In three years, citizens' assessment of the general situation increases

The latest findings of the "Barometer", published this Friday in Euronews, show that in the measurements of the last three years of the citizens' perception of the general state of the country, the positive assessment has been increasing from year to year.

So in 2021 those who thought that the situation in the country was going very well were 20.5%, suffered a decline in 2022 to the level of 15.6% and increased significantly last year to 38.4%.

In the same line, the numbers of people who have assessed the state of the country badly or very badly in three years have also moved.

In December 2021 they were 48%, became 56.7% in 2022 and decreased to 30.4% last year according to the latest measurements.

In the same line, the perception of the country's economic situation in the coming year has also moved.

In 2021, 31% thought that the situation would improve, there were fewer in 2022 who were optimistic about the country's economic situation in the next 12 months (21%), and there has been a significant increase in recent measurements (45%) of those who they hope that the economic situation of the country will improve in the last 13 months.

The same attitudes are also visible when citizens' assessments of the direction in which the country is heading are compared in three years.

In 2021, there were 36% who thought it was going in the right direction, decreased to 23% in 2022, and increased to 45% in the last questionnaire conducted in December 2023./ Euronews Albania
