A monument to Queen Elisabeth of England will be placed in the town square of Has.

Such a decision is being taken as a sign of respect to the Queen of the country where every family has more than two immigrants in England.

The mayor of Hasi, Liman Morina, said in an interview for Euronews Albania that this decision was taken to express gratitude to the United Kingdom, which, as he pointed out, is the only source of survival for the people of Hasi.

According to him, for more than 6 years Hasi has been left in complete oblivion by the government, which has forced many young people and not only to leave, mainly to Great Britain. Morina said that currently every Hasian family has 1 or more members in this state.

"Over 80 percent of the Hasians survive thanks to the help that comes from the United Kingdom. Every family has one person in England. Currently, even the employees want to leave, as the wages are minimal. In recent months, there has been a very high trend of departures", says the mayor./euronews
