The luxury of Basel, Rama's response to the protest

Member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Grigels Muçollari, has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama's trip to Basel, describing it as a direct response to the protests and dissatisfaction of citizens.

Muçollari said that Rama's participation in a luxury event, in one of the most expensive hotels in Europe, comes at a time when the country is facing a political crisis and when, according to him, poverty and corruption are among the main concerns of citizens.

Muçollari emphasizes that this private visit is the most significant message the prime minister has given to the protesters so far. He argued that while Rama has consistently reacted to accusations and political opponents, his stay in a luxurious environment during this period shows disregard for the problems of citizens.

Muçollari accused the prime minister of favoring private interests instead of addressing issues such as corruption and poverty.

"Going to a luxury event, in one of the most expensive hotels in Europe, at the height of the political crisis in the country, where one of the main reasons for the revolt is poverty and corruption, is the most meaningful response that Edi Rama has given to the protesters so far."

He has reacted and given explanations, attacked, cursed and insulted, and has been engaged on the front with the enemies every day.

But the most emblematic, the most significant, was this private visit to Basel, amidst luxury and vanity.

Edi Rama, with this, told hundreds of thousands of protesters that he has no sympathy for them at all. For corruption, his answer is the pursuit of private interests in events where he often plunders Albania. For poverty, he responded with the most expensive hotel in Basel.

This is typical behavior of dictators of former Russian republics or sultans of the Indian Ocean.

Albanians should have no illusions that every day in office for Edi Rama is a day of more corruption and luxury for him and poverty for the people.

"So, more tonight, more tomorrow. Determination and strength for the removal of the vain autocrat immersed in luxury," writes Muçollari./ CNA
