Starting this Tuesday, April 1, 2025, Albanian citizens will be able to travel more easily to North Macedonia. This is because they will be able to receive a 1-year "Green Card" insurance policy, at a reduced price of 50 Euros.
The announcement was made by the Financial Supervisory Authority, with the aim of facilitating the movement of citizens to neighboring countries.
The Financial Supervisory Authority announced that this new fee came as a result of the recommendations of the joint committee of the free trade agreement, to facilitate movement between countries in the region.
The green card is a legal obligation for any trip outside the territory that covers possible damages that may occur.
Even with this decision on the new price, citizens still have the right to wait for a green card for North Macedonia under the same conditions, 15 euros for two weeks. According to the data, such a relief measure comes because the damages with the neighboring country are not high. /CNA
