National Security Summit/ Minister Hoxha: Albania signs cooperation agreement

The Border Security Summit is being held in the United Kingdom, with 40 countries participating.

Albania is represented at the summit by the Minister of Interior, Ervin Hoxha, the Director of the Criminal Police Department, Neritan Nallbati, and the Director of the Department for Border and Migration, Saimir Boshnjaku.

Minister Hoxha said that our country has demonstrated strong commitment in the fight against financial crimes and legal migration. Further, the minister stated that through cooperation with European partners, Albania has improved its operational capacities. The Minister of Interior announced that Albania has signed and is implementing a cooperation agreement with FRONTEX.

" Albania has demonstrated strong commitment and concrete results in the fight against financial crimes, illegal migration and cross-border crimes. Through deepened cooperation with European partners and international organizations, our country has managed to significantly improve its operational capacities.

"Albania is the first country in the region to have signed and is implementing a cooperation agreement with FRONTEX, which is being expanded to other countries in our region, as a successful model ," said Hoxha./ CNA
