Elbasan landfill, on fire/ Ministry of Defense, propaganda

Since yesterday, the Elbasan landfill has been engulfed in flames and the waste is still burning.

While the situation appears worrying, the Ministry of Defense is spreading propaganda by saying how many vehicles and fire engines have gone to the scene.

"At the waste dump, in the municipality of Elbasan.

The local Fire and Rescue Service of the municipalities of Elbasan, Cërrik, Peqin and Kamëz went to the scene with 5 fire trucks with 20 personnel, and 4 heavy municipal vehicles. Later, 2 fire trucks with 10 personnel from the Armed Forces also went to assist the forces on the ground.

In the late evening hours, the situation worsened and 6 heavy vehicles, 5 dump trucks, 1 excavator from the Elbasan municipality and 7 heavy vehicles from private entities went to the scene, who worked throughout the night, but were unable to isolate the fire in the landfill.

"Today, there are 3 firefighting vehicles with 15 personnel from the Elbasan municipality, 2 firefighting vehicles with 10 personnel and 1 tractor with chains from the Armed Forces on the ground, and 3 more firefighting vehicles from other municipalities are on their way," the announcement distributed by the Ministry of Defense states./ CNA
