Following the news on CNA and the denunciation of the Democratic MP and candidate Edmond Spaho, who claimed that residents had benefited from food products, the local directorate of the Korça Police has reacted. In the reaction, it is stated that the bags of honey were taken from the people published in the photos as part of humanitarian aid on the occasion of the Easter holiday.

The police announce that verifications have been carried out and statements have been received from the "Providing Hands" foundation, which has also provided the relevant documents.

State Police Reaction

Regarding the case in question, the necessary verifications were carried out, which resulted in the fact that the bags of flour were distributed as part of the humanitarian aid on the occasion of the Easter holiday by the "Hands That Provide" foundation, part of the "Albanian Evangelical Brotherhood". During the verifications, statements were taken from the director of this foundation, who made available copies of the documentation regarding this humanitarian aid. On the other hand, the persons published in the photo were also interviewed, specifically AJ, BC and AM, who stated that they received this aid as part of the humanitarian aid for the Easter holiday. The statement was also taken from citizen DP, who is also a member of the church and kept the bags of flour in her apartment to deliver to the above citizens who are her neighbors.

Verifications have shown that these food quantities were distributed as part of humanitarian aid and have no connection to the electoral process as claimed by the DP candidate, Edmond Spaho./ CNA
