KPA upholds dismissal of Durres prosecutor

The KPA has today upheld the dismissal from office of Durres prosecutor Ilir Hoxha.

The decision was taken by the panel of the Special Appeals Chamber. The panel was composed of Sokol Çomo as chairman, Ina Rama as rapporteur, Albana Shtylla, Mimoza Tasi, Natasha Mulaj as members, regarding the appeal of the re-evaluation subject Ilir Hoxha against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 734, dated 22.01.2024.

"At the end of the trial in the deliberation room, the trial panel, based on Article 66, point 1, letter "a" of Law No. 84/2016, "On the temporary re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania", unanimously decided: To leave in force decision No. 734, dated 22.01.2024 of the Independent Qualification Commission, which concerns the subject of the re-evaluation Ilir Hoxha. This decision is final and has immediate effect", the decision states./CNA
