The Qafë Thore-Theth road axis has been completely blocked due to avalanches and deteriorating weather conditions. Due to this situation, the police have announced that no vehicles will be allowed on this axis, as the risk is high.
Traffic will remain closed until further notice to all vehicles, including snowplows, as the area poses a high risk of crossing.
Police have appealed to drivers to avoid this road.
Police announcement:
Based on the risk analysis and after communication with the engineers of the road maintenance contractor and the Regional Road Administration, on the "Qafë Thore - Theth" road segment, due to the risk of avalanches as a result of deteriorating weather conditions, vehicle traffic will not be allowed, as the risk is high.
This road segment will be closed until further notice. For safety reasons, traffic will remain closed to all vehicles, including snowplows, as the area poses a high risk of crossing.
