Protest in front of Durrës Municipality/ Rama meets with residents

Prime Minister Edi Rama is today at the Municipality of Durrës to hold a meeting with citizens affected by the TID project, which aims to transform the city's archaeological area into an urban park.

Residents, who continue their protest in front of the municipality, express concern about the demolition of their homes and the impact the project may have on their lives. A group of citizens' representatives has been received inside the municipality to discuss with the authorities.

The TID project envisages restorations, road re-organization and the creation of a hospitality model for visitors, integrating the Durrës Amphitheater. The government sees this as an opportunity for the development of tourism and public spaces, while some citizens affected by the project are demanding fair compensation for their properties.
