They hit the police to escape arrest/ Hita visits the injured officer

The task of cracking down on the distribution of narcotics has proven dangerous for two Korça police officers, who were injured during an anti-drug operation on the Korça-Pogradec axis.

Near the village of Lumalas, a 21-year-old, to avoid being handcuffed, intentionally crashed into a police vehicle, causing injuries to law enforcement officers.

The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, visited one of the officers at the Trauma Hospital, while his colleague has passed the danger and returned to his apartment. Appreciating the courage shown in the field, Hita assured that the institution will be in their full support.

The police operation, although at a physical cost, was successfully completed. Two young men, aged 19 and 21, were arrested, while a 27-year-old was declared wanted.

The latter is suspected of organizing illegal activity in his bar, where in addition to the drugs divided into doses of cannabis sativa and cocaine, gambling equipment was also seized./ CNA
