Beer Festival in Korçë/ Police measures, roads that will be blocked

Korça Police, plan of measures to guarantee order and public safety during the Beer Festival

On 14.08.2024 to 18.08.2024, in the city of Korça, in the interior of the bus terminal, in neighborhood no. 17, from 20:00 to 01:00, the "Beer Festival" event will take place.

The Korçë Local Police Directorate and its subordinate structures have taken a series of measures to guarantee public order and tranquility, as well as for the peaceful and festive development and manifestation of this activity. These measures consist of strengthening road safety parameters, discipline of movement, traffic management, prevention of road accidents, prevention of crimes against the person, property, financial crimes, in the field of narcotics, as well as keeping people with criminal records under control. . Also, as part of this activity, joint patrols and controls will be carried out with the Municipal Police.

????Measures will be taken by the services of the Traffic Police Sector to block the traffic of vehicles from "City Center" to the roundabout near the terminal, from 18:30 to 01:00.

The orientation of the movement of vehicles to the places designated for parking by the municipality of Korçë, mainly around the bus terminal, will be done in cooperation with the municipal authorities.

?Also, traffic management will be carried out during the movement of vehicles and pedestrians, on the streets: "Midhi Kostani", "Kiço Greço", "Marigo Pozio", at the entrance points to the bus terminal and in other surrounding areas where the activities.

Throughout the city, in the places where the party will take place where there is expected to be a greater gathering and circulation of people, on the main boulevards and on the road axes that connect Korca with other districts, there will be an increased presence of police services of Order, Criminal Police, Traffic Police, FNSH groups and "Shqiponja" Special Force, who will oversee the preservation of order, intervene to solve problems and prevent the creation of various situations, which may violate public safety.

?The Traffic Police appeals to all drivers to respect the rules of the road, not to use alcoholic beverages while driving, to wear a seat belt/protective helmet, not to use mobile phones, in order to avoid possible road accidents, such as and choose to use public transport services for their movements.

The Order Services will also take care to keep in constant contact with the managers of facilities of particular importance such as electrical substations and the Water Pipeline, to strengthen their conservation measures.
