The Mayor of Pustec, Pali Kolefski, spoke about the fire situation in Malin e Thata.

According to Kolefski, 80 forces were engaged to put out the fires. The mayor stated that the intensity of the flames has decreased.

Kolefski stated that they have communicated with the Macedonian side and other partners who have expressed their willingness to cooperate in this situation.

"Today there are about 80 forces waiting to go to the fires. Today will be the most decisive day, as the specialists of protected areas and fire fighters predict.

We have gathered here as a district, from all the municipalities of the district, from the FA, from the protected areas and volunteers from the village of Goricë e Madhe.

In these moments, the intensity of the flames has decreased as a result of the intensive work of the workers who worked even during the evening. According to the first information, it is learned that about 5-6 km have been brought under control, a linear line.

We have also communicated with the civil emergency of Albania and with the Macedonian side and with other partners who have expressed their readiness, let's hope it will not be necessary and we will finally get it under control", said Kolefski./ CNA
