Today, the next hearing on the Gërdeci case was held at the GJKKO.

The former minister Fatmir Mediu has opposed the act-economic-financial expertise as well as the answers given by the experts in the last session.

The former minister's defense lawyers have stated that they stand by the fact that the dismantling process had costs and losses for the state.

According to the lawyers, the experts were called to give an opinion and not to draw conclusions about legal responsibility.

The lawyers emphasize that they are leaving the hot potato in the hands of the experts.

"We have objections regarding the form and content of the act-economic-financial expertise. Experts have not had such a quality. They have affirmed themselves that they are not experts, but only specialists, who were invited by the prosecution to give an opinion.

In this act of expertise, the experts are outside the context of the facts.

The experts do not consider any other factor that has influenced these 15 years in the treatment of their conclusions.

Dismantling the ammunition is not a process that started and ended with Gërdec. It is a process that happened both before and after it. Experts are called to give an opinion in the field of science and to give a scientific opinion.
