Integration expert Andi Hoxhaj says that in the last two months, about 6,000 Albanians have entered Great Britain in small boats or dinghies.
In an interview for "Euronews Albania", Hoxhaj stated that there has been an increased flow, but emphasized that Albanians make up 18% of immigrants who have arrived in Great Britain recently.
He added that the rest of the immigrants are Afghans and Iranians.
"In the last two months, the figures show that almost 6,000 Albanians have come to Great Britain in small boats or dinghies and this has had an impact. There has been a surge of growth. If we compare this period with the period of last year, only 23 Albanians have passed, this figure has become quite large and that is why the media have covered it.
Immigration is part of a wider debate in Great Britain and in this case the Albanians are also involved. If we discuss the numbers of foreign citizens who have arrived these days, 18% are Albanians, the rest are Afghans and Iranians. Albanians in total are 18%, but there has been an increase recently," said Hoxhaj.
