Democratic Party MP Besart Xhaferri has expressed through a reaction on social networks that in 12 years, Albania has lost 1.1 million citizens. Xhaferri states that in addition to the workforce, teachers, doctors and engineers have also left the country.

He further says that Albania has also lost its youth, adding that according to the latest census in Albania, the average age has increased to 42.5 years from 35.3. According to the MP, the only ones who have returned to the country are drug traffickers to launder dirty money.

The main cause of this reality is the narco-economy that Edi Rama implemented, starting with cannabization and ending with Albania's return to a transit point for hard drugs.
