"I congratulated him on SPAK's achievements"/ Ambassador Gonzato

The European Union Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, held his first meeting with the new head of SPAK, Klodjan Braho.

The meeting was announced by the EU delegation in Albania through a post on social media.

In the statement made, Gonzato said that he congratulated Braho on SPAK's achievements and stressed the importance of continuing cooperation in the fight against corruption and organized crime.

Gonzato further stated that the EU remains committed to supporting SPAK in the rule of law.

 

“ First meeting with the new President of SPAK, Klodjan Braho. I congratulated him on SPAK’s achievements to date and stressed the importance of continuing to deliver tangible results in the fight against organised crime and corruption, a key element for Albania’s progress towards membership in the European Union. Strengthening investigative capacities and ensuring high standards in investigations and prosecutions are crucial for consolidating progress and achieving sustainable results. The European Union remains fully committed to supporting SPAK and the rule of law in Albania ”, said Gonzato.
