Balluk's immunity/DP requests another meeting of the Mandates Council

The Democratic Party requested a meeting of the Mandates Council earlier this year regarding the immunity of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, following the request of SPAK.

The head of the DP group, Gazment Bardhi, has stated that three weeks have already passed since SPAK's request for the lifting of immunity, but the socialists are hiding, just like those who have violated the law.

According to Bardhi, this is an unprecedented case when the Council takes so long to review a SPAK request.

"Even today, with full responsibility, the 5 opposition members in the Council requested a meeting of the Mandates Council to continue reviewing SPAK's request for lifting Balluk's immunity. The request was based on the Assembly's Rules of Procedure.

"Today marks three weeks since SPAK's request to create an arrest warrant for Rama's right wing, and three weeks since Peleshi and the socialist members of the Council have been hiding like those who have violated the law. This is an unprecedented case when the Council takes so long to review an urgent request from SPAK, whether before or after the justice reform," he said./ CNA
