Albania is preparing to open 2 new embassies in Kiev and Baku.

This is what the General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Gazmend Turdiu said in the Foreign Policy Commission.

Trudiu clarified that in addition to the two new embassies, the possibility of opening consulates in North Macedonia and Montenegro is also being considered, but the plan does not end there.

"We also plan to open two new representative offices, one in Kiev and the other in Baku. Also, two consulates will be opened in the region, in North Macedonia and Montenegro. It is among our objectives to establish representative offices, at least one in Sub-Saharan Africa", said the General Secretary of MEPJ.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expected to receive ALL 3.2 billion from the 2024 budget.

Secretary Gazmend Durda emphasized that efforts are being made to increase the fleet of vehicles at the service of Albanian diplomatic missions in foreign countries, while at the end of the meeting, the Foreign Policy Committee approved in principle the draft budget for 2024./ CNA
