German language scholarship at Bavarian universities/ Embassy publishes application procedures

The German Embassy in Albania has announced that the state of Bavaria is offering scholarships for summer German courses at Bavarian universities.

The announcement states that the scholarships cover course fees, food, and accommodation.

Regarding the application, the embassy announces that it can be applied through BAYHOST and the prerequisite is knowledge of the German language at level B1.

Would you like to spend the summer in Southern Germany?

The Free State of Bavaria is offering scholarships for summer German language courses at Bavarian universities for 2026. The scholarships for these in-person courses cover course fees, accommodation and meals.

Who can apply?

Students and young researchers from all academic disciplines in Albania and many other countries in Southern and Eastern Europe can apply through BAYHOST. A prerequisite is knowledge of German at least at level B1. At the time of application, students must have completed at least two semesters at a university and prove this through grades.

How is the application made?

Applications must be submitted via the online form only. The deadline is March 23, 2026. Further information about the application process and language courses can be found on the BAYHOST website and Facebook.
