Abandoned three minor children/ 33-year-old woman in Durrës prosecuted

Three minor children have been found abandoned in the Plazhit area of ??Durres. According to reports, the children were left alone in an apartment by their mother, and it is suspected that they had not been fed for several days.

The police accompanied the minors to the Durrës hospital for medical examinations and then they were taken into the care of social services. Meanwhile, it is reported that the children's mother has been criminally prosecuted.

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Plazh Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen BB, 33 years old, for the criminal offense of "Ill-treatment of minors".

The criminal proceedings began after citizen DV appeared today, at around 5:20 PM, stating that her son's ex-daughter-in-law had left her three minor children alone in the building where she lived, a case that was also published on social networks.

The Police services, in cooperation with the Child Protection Office, made it possible to take three children into protection, who were sent to the hospital for medical examinations and then taken into care by the Durrës Child Protection Center.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action. /CNA
