Minister of Justice, Toni Gogu, in a statement to the media before the start of the plenary session, spoke about the criminal amnesty. Gogu said that 466 people will benefit from the amnesty, while 869 others will benefit from reduced sentences.
The Minister emphasized once again that no person accused of crimes under the jurisdiction of SPAK benefits from this amnesty.
" According to calculations, 466 people are immediately released from our system of execution of criminal decisions, that is, from prisons. Of these people, 11 are women and one is a minor. Meanwhile, the sentences of 869 people are reduced, of which eight are women and 2 are minors.
"No person and no act that is under the jurisdiction of SPAK, i.e. acts of organized crime and corruption, benefit," said Gogu.
