Accused of drug trafficking and criminal group/ GJKKO sentences him to 11.4

The Special Court has found IS alias IX guilty of several charges related to drug trafficking and criminal group.

The Criminal Court of Kosovo has sentenced I. S. to 11.4 years in prison, the sentence to be served starting from the moment of arrest.

IS was found guilty of:

-Drug trafficking, carried out in collaboration and within the framework of a structured criminal group, in 9 episodes occurring between 2020 and 2021.

-Direction of a structured criminal group, an offense provided for in Article 333/a/1 of the Criminal Code.

Initially, for the criminal offense of drug trafficking, he was sentenced to 17 years in prison, while for leading the criminal group, to 5 years in prison. Based on Article 55 of the Criminal Code (combination of sentences), a final sentence of 17 years was assigned, which was later reduced to 11 years and 4 months, due to the summary trial (Article 406/1 of the Criminal Procedure Code)./ CNA
