AAPSK takes over the 102 containers of the suspected toxic waste ship

The Seized and Confiscated Assets Administration Agency has taken over the 102 containers, which were unloaded today from the ship anchored in the Port of Durrës.   

The Ministry of the Interior informs that the whole process was carried out through a detailed plan of measures, also in implementation of the order of the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for the landing and storage of 102 containers of the "Moliva" ship, in a safe place, away from residential areas , as well as strictly respecting physical, environmental and health safety conditions.

Included in the plan of measures are a number of institutions, where in addition to the employees of the Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets, the Local Directorate of the Durrës Police, the Border and Migration Directorate, the Durrës Port Authority, the Port Captain's Office have also participated in the operation. Durres, Durres Customs, Directorate of Customs Investigation, as well as the Durres Prosecutor's Office.  

After unloading the containers from the ship, they were transported under strict security measures to the final destination where they will be kept under monitoring and administration by the Seized and Confiscated Assets Administration Agency.

Every action is recorded and documented through minutes and the containers are checked, scanned and verified, from their external condition to all other security elements./ CNA
