OFFICIAL/ Inter gets a new coach

Cristian Chivu is officially the new coach of Inter, with whom he has signed a contract valid until June 2027.

The former Romanian defender returns to the club where he played for seven seasons and won important trophies such as the Champions League and three championships. Confirmation for the assistant coach is still awaited, with Walter Samuel as a rumored name.

Chivu led his first training session at Pinetina today, with most of the Primavera team and some first-team players who are not on international duty.

Injured players Bisseck and Calhanoglu continue differentiated training.

The team will gather in full on Wednesday for the departure to the USA, where it will participate in the Club World Cup.

Chivu began his career as a coach in Inter's youth sector in 2018, and recently managed to save Parma from relegation.

He described his return to Inter as "an honor and pride." This is his third stint with the black and blue club, after a period as a player and youth coach.
