UEFA "landing" in Shkodra, begins stadium inspection

A UEFA delegation has arrived in Albania for an official inspection visit as part of preparations for the 2027 European U-21 Championship finals, where our country will host one of the most important European youth football events.

The visit started at the “Loro Boriçi” stadium, where UEFA representatives, together with the organizational staff of the Albanian Football Federation, conducted a detailed inspection of all the stadium facilities. The delegation, consisting of about 20 experts and officials, was divided into working groups to closely verify each organizational and infrastructural component.

During the four days of the visit, the stadiums "Elbasan Arena", "Air Albania" and "Arena e Demave", selected to host the matches of this championship, will also be inspected.

In a statement to fshf.org, the head of the Euro U-21 2027 project at the Albanian Football Federation, Evia Kumria, praised the progress of the inspection visit and emphasized the importance of this phase in the preparation process for the final tournament.

"This is the second visit that takes place within the framework of the European U-21 Championship 2027. This time the delegation was larger, with representatives from UEFA and the Albanian Football Association. We were about 20 people, divided into three different groups, who inspected different parts of the "Loro Boriçi" stadium. We identified the needs that need to be met until the championship is organized in 2027. Overall, the visit was very successful. This inspection lasts four days and all four stadiums that will welcome the European Championship will be visited," said Evia Kumria.

This inspection phase constitutes an important step in the preparation process, confirming the AFF's commitment to meeting every organizational and infrastructural standard, in order to ensure a U-21 European Championship organized with professionalism and in full compliance with UEFA requirements.
