Renewal at Milan, Modric seeks guarantees for the future

Luka Modric has not yet made a final decision about his future at Milan, following the injury suffered in the match against Juventus.

The Croatian midfielder underwent surgery for a fractured left cheekbone after a collision with Manuel Locatelli.

He will miss the last four matches of the championship, while participation in the World Cup does not seem to be in danger. Modric is considering the possibility of renewing for another season, with a contract that could reach 4.5 million euros net in case of qualification for the Champions League.

His decision will depend on his physical condition after the World Cup and the club's sporting project. An important factor also remains the continuity of coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The Croatian also wants guarantees for a competitive team in the championship and in Europe. A meeting with director Tare is expected in the coming days to discuss the situation.
