Modric "trembles" before the World Cup, the Croatian ends the season

Milan will have to do without Luka Modric in the final weeks of the season. Medical examinations carried out on the midfielder have confirmed a fracture in his left cheekbone.

This injury requires surgery, which is expected to be performed within a few hours. The Croatian midfielder suffered this fracture after a hard collision with Manuel Locatelli during the Milan-Juventus match yesterday evening.

According to Croatian media, specifically the daily "Sportske Novosti", Modric's season with the red and black jersey is considered over. He will miss the last four weeks of the championship, dealing a serious blow to the club's plans for the end of the season.

However, his presence at the World Cup is not expected to be in question. Modric is expected to be ready for his national team, but will have to play wearing a special protective mask on his face.
