The 34-year wait is over! The famous Italian club is promoted to Serie A

Pisa have mathematically secured promotion to Serie A for next season, ending a 34-year wait away from the top flight of Italian football. Despite losing 1-0 away to Bari in the 36th round of the competition, the Tuscan team has taken advantage of their rivals' results to confirm their return to the top flight of Italian football.

With two weeks to go in the Serie B season, Pisa are in second place with 72 points, nine more than their nearest rivals, Spezia, making it impossible for the latter to overtake them. Coach Filippo Inzaghi, who took charge at the start of the season, has managed to lead Pisa towards the major objective of returning the club to Serie A after more than three decades of absence.

In first place in the standings is Sassuolo with 81 points, a team that has also secured promotion to Serie A. The team from Emilia-Romagna returns to the elite after just one year in Serie B, confirming its dominance in this edition and its consistent form throughout the season.
