Partizan celebrates in the derby, Tirana unlucky at the posts

Partizan won 2-0 against Tirana in the capital's derby, in week 24 of the Superior Category.

The Reds opened the scoring in the 27th minute through Sidibe, after an assist from Huma. Ten minutes later, Isgandarli scored the second goal after a quick counterattack.

Tirana reacted in the second half and created several clear chances, but were stopped by the posts and crossbar at several crucial moments.

Kobiljar and Mehmeti had good opportunities to narrow the gap, but were unsuccessful. The match was also affected by heavy rain that made the pitch slippery in the second half.

With this victory, Partizan holds fifth place with 33 points, three less than fourth-placed Dinamo. Tirana remains in eighth place with 21 points, involved in the race for survival.
