Albanian Cup, 8 quarterfinalists determined. Pots revealed

The matches of the 1/8 stage of the 2025-2026 Albanian Cup have been completed, determining the eight teams that will continue their journey towards the trophy and secure qualification for the quarter-final stage.

Tirana, Dinamo City, Partizani, Bylis, Teuta, Vllaznia, Egnatia and AF Elbasani are the teams qualified for the quarterfinals of the Albanian Cup.

All matches of the 1/8 stage took place today. In the 13:00 meetings, Dinamo City and Partizan easily secured qualification, winning with a score of 3-0. Dinamo City triumphed over Besa, while Partizan defeated Burrel.

The Tirana vs. Skënderbeg and Bylis vs. Laç matches were decided only after extra time, after the regular 90 minutes ended in a draw. Tirana scored the decisive goal in extra time and won 2-1, securing qualification. Bylis also found the third goal in extra time, winning 3-2 and advancing.

In the matches at 16:00, Egnatia won 1-0 against Apolonia, while with the same result Vllaznia triumphed against Pogradec. Teuta defeated Vora 2-0, while the challenge between AF Elbasan and Flamurtari went to extra time, after regular time ended in a 1-1 draw. The Yellow and Blues of Elbasan scored the decisive goal in extra time, winning 2-1 and securing qualification for the quarterfinals.

Based on the activity regulations, the pots for the quarter-final draw of the Albanian Cup have also been allocated.

Pot 1 includes Egnatia, Vllaznia, Partizani and Dinamo City. Pot 2 includes AF Elbasani, Teuta, Bylis and Tirana.

The quarter-final pairings will be determined through a free draw among the eight qualified teams. The matches in this phase will be played on a home-and-away basis, with the first legs being played at the home ground of the teams positioned in Pot 2.

The date and time of the draw for the quarter-final stage of the Albanian Cup will be announced in the coming days.
