Not just a renewal, Tuchel gets a pay rise in England

Thomas Tuchel has renewed his contract with the England national team until 2028, becoming one of the highest-paid coaches at international level.

He took charge of the team in January 2025, following the departure of Gareth Southgate. The first objective was achieved with England qualifying for the eighth consecutive World Cup.

The team ended the qualifying campaign with eight wins from eight matches and no goals conceded. Qualification was mathematically secured after a 5-0 win over Latvia in Riga.

With the new contract, Tuchel's salary will increase significantly compared to the 5.8 million euros he previously earned, bringing him closer to Carlo Ancelotti's level.

The English Football Association thus confirms the continuation of the technical project beyond the World Cup that will take place in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
