Tough competition at the Ski Cup in the Czech Republic/ Albanian skier Lara Colturi in positive rankings

A fierce and highly competitive race took place today at the final stop of the Ski World Cup in the Czech Republic, where emotions ranged from tears of disappointment to hugs of victory.

Albanian skier Lara Colturi finished today's race in 12th place, with a time of 1:14.73, proving once again her high competitive level among the world alpine skiing elite.

The podium of this competition consisted of:

 First place – Sara Hector (Sweden)
Second place – Paula Moltzan (USA)
Third place – Mikaela Shiffrin (USA)

Also in focus was the positioning of New Zealand skier Alice Robinson, winner of the Grand Globe in this discipline last season, who failed to qualify in the second and final run of the competition.

The Czech Republic marks the final stop of the World Cup, with the final slalom race taking place tomorrow, before the focus shifts to the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, to be held in February.
