Një futbollist shqiptar 28-vjeçar, Marjo Bacaj, humbi jetën pasi u hodh nga çatia e një ndërtese në qendër të Adelaide, Australi.

Ngjarja ndodhi në ambientet e një bar-restoranti, ku ai kishte shkuar i vetëm. Autoritetet konfirmuan se bëhet fjalë për vetëvrasje dhe nuk ka të dyshuar për ngjarjen.

Bacaj ishte lojtar i Klubit Adelaide Eagles dhe ishte i njohur edhe në Shqipëri për karrierën e tij. Ai kishte njoftuar ekipin se nuk ndihej mirë atë mëngjes dhe nuk do të merrte pjesë në ndeshje.

Lajmi për vdekjen e tij u mor nga ekipi rreth orës 16:00, duke shkaktuar tronditje të thellë mes shokëve.

Në shenjë nderimi, ekipi u mblodh në vendin e ngjarjes për të vendosur lule dhe mesazhe. Bacaj la pas bashkëshorten dhe një fëmijë të mitur.
