Farmers across the country have had 3 weeks to benefit from 30 million euros in government subsidies. April 11 marks the last day of applications, while this year a high interest has been seen on their part.

April 11 is the deadline for applications for subsidies in Agriculture. The government guarantees 30 million euros this year to support farmers, ranchers and fishermen.

The plan resulted in a very high interest from farmers who applied through the e-albania portal. The full figures have not yet been made public by the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development, but Euronews Albania learns that only in the district of Korça, 12,000 farmers have applied, of which 90% have requested free oil.

12 million euros have been made available throughout the country for the free oil scheme, where for the third time in a row, farmers will benefit from it, thus reducing the many costs of their production activity.

The Ministry of Agriculture drafted 9 support measures including the beekeeping sector, greenhouse farms and organic farms. Subsidies this year will also be distributed to those interested in building new agricultural and livestock markets./ Euronews Albania
