"Pirola" variant of Covid 19/ Alimehmeti: High circulation of this infection is expected

Doctor Ilir Alimehmeti has spoken about the new variant of Covid 19, "Pirola", which is spreading rapidly.

During an interview, Alimehmeti stated that this variant is the same as the other variants and that it poses a risk mainly for the elderly.

The doctor said that the circulation of this virus is expected to be high in autumn.

Among other things, it states that it has the same symptoms as the other variants that have circulated so far.

 "All variants of COVID have the same symptoms, it remains like any other variant dangerous for the elderly. As many variants as there are in the end the same one becomes dominant. When it comes to hospitals, it is another matter that the vast majority of the population has passed this disease. We have natural protection that most have passed once and the second is vaccination", Alimehmeti said./ CNA
