On International Roma Day, an activity was held at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, where the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, representatives of the Roma community, representatives of organizations and civil society participated.

In her speech, Minister Manastirliu emphasized the empowerment of the Roma and Egyptian community in the labor market, with the aim of their integration.

"Nga programi i ndihmës ekonomike kanë dalë nga vështirësitë sociale dhe ekonomike më shumë se 3.500 individë, të cilët janë drejtuar drejt punësimit të qëndrueshëm dhe aftësimit profesional. Rruga e vetme për fuqizimin e komunitetit Rom është arsimimi dhe punësimi. Ne jemi të fokusuar që të zhvillojmë mekanizmin e punësimit për ata të cilët janë në moshë aktive pune dhe që janë pjesë e programeve të mbrojtjes sociale", tha Manastirliu.

"Ne e kemi filluar këtë program në janar të këtij viti dhe po mbështen vetëm në tre muajt e parë më shumë se 7100 nëna me tre e më shumë fëmijë, të cilave u subvencionohen kontributet shëndetësore dhe shoqërore nga shteti për 5 vitet e para të rritjes së fëmijës së tretë, të katërt, etj. Për komunitetin rom dhe egjiptian dua që të përçohet ky mesazh, pasi po mbështeten nëpërmjet garantimit të kontributeve nga shteti," nënvizoi Manastirliu.

With the goal of inclusiveness, a number of national programs are in support of this community. More than 3 thousand Roma families are supported by the social assistance program. The baby bonus is another universal program that has made it possible to reward newborns, some of whom are children of the Roma community. This mechanism also had the effect of increasing the registration of newborn Roma children in civil status.

Also through the Social Fund, 40 centers and social services have been established in all the municipalities and regions of the country, ensuring that more than 11 thousand beneficiaries, including the Roma community, receive daily and residential services./ CNA.al
