The opening speech was delivered by the festival’s founder and curator, Yllka Gjollesha. She welcomed the participants to the fourth edition of the festival and focused on this year’s theme, “Are You Dreaming?”

According to her, dreams inspire artists, filmmakers and people to imagine new ideas, new stories and different ways of seeing the world. She emphasized that the festival itself was born as a dream to bring together artists from different countries through art and film.

In her speech, Gjollesha thanked the staff, volunteers, collaborators and all those who contributed to the organization of the festival. She expressed special gratitude to Sisi Ndini, who joined the curatorial team this year, as well as to Artur Sokoli, Gentian Gjikopulli and Maria Sokoli.

Special thanks were also extended to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, the Municipality of Korça, as well as the artists and filmmakers who had traveled from various countries to participate in the festival.

The evening continued with the screening of the documentary “Dezo Hoffmann – Photographer of the Beatles”, directed by Laura Sivakova-Passova and Patrik Lancaric. After the documentary, the guests participated in a cocktail party organized in the theater lobby.

The evening program continued with the screening of several selected works, including “The Champ” by Ermir Keta, “Antimuzeu” by Renis Hyka, “Easter” by Ksenia Yurkova, “Kingdom of Animals” by Thadeusz Tischbein, “PA ZË (Soundless)” by Gentian Gjikopulli and “Shards of Absence” by Margherita Bagnara.

The festival will continue over the next two days with screenings, meetings with artists and other activities dedicated to contemporary art and experimental cinema. /CNA
