Socialist MP Damian Gjiknuri shared details today regarding the start of work for the special commission on Electoral Reform.

In his speech to the media, Gjiknuri stated that this commission will address all OSCE-ODIHR recommendations and various issues that arise. 

Gjiknuri added that if there is an agreement with the opposition, the reform will be achieved even faster.

"All institutions that will provide instructions for the work process. These are things I wanted to share. In a few days, we will share things about membership. The part on party financing will be the first since it is of interest. It will address all the recommendations of the OSCE-DIHR and those issues, so that they are not part of the reform. They should reflect the best for Albanian citizens, but also from the recommendations of the OSCE-ODIHR. We will address everything in time. Last time we changed it based on the recommendations of the opposition. I believe that this will also be slightly related to the Administrative-Territorial Reform. There are also things to be seen, such as the reorganization by the CEC. It is part of the reform that we will have in the Commission with options. It is a seemingly depoliticized body and the work is independent. Every institution can have political influences, but the decisions are not like that. I do not give other guarantees than the things that I have in my hand. We also have an opposition that has its demands. The Commission "It will be gathered.
